Video:The Burden of Expectations, by Dr. Dan Gottlieb

Most of us live our lives with the burden of expectations, being either who we think we should be or what someone else thinks we should be. Expert Contributor, Dr. Dan Gottlieb discusses why we carry this burden with Publisher, Roseann Vanella.

Dr. Gottlieb feels we are so hardwired to connect and that this causes us to act in a way that we think can make us able to connect.  Without connection we will die so in our own desperation we do what we can to be what others want of us in order to connect.  Dr. Gottlieb explains that the first step is for us to understand fundamentally who we are and get to know ourselves.  It is only through knowing ourselves and being comfortable in our own skin that we will be able to lift this burden of expectations that we all carry around.
