The Roles We Are Given Do Not Define Us!

Think about it, we all have roles in life that we either assign to ourselves or are given to us by other people.  We are not so much talking about roles like, mother, father, spouse, partner, teacher…………

What about roles like “quiet”, “shy”, “lazy”, “aggressive”? Contributor Dr. Dan Gottlieb, sits down with our Community Advocate & Family Expert, Roseann Vanella to discuss how we sometimes  become these roles even though they are not truly us.

Roles can be so limiting and also damaging to us from a young age.  What would you be if you weren’t given a role? Have you found out that you are the absolute opposite from what other’s define you to be?

In the end, the roles we are given do not define us and we challenge all of you to think about your roles and whether it’s an authentic description of you or what you have been conditioned to believe.
