Failure Leads to Growth


Think of the word failure and we immediately think of something negative.  So many of us are held back for the fear of failing.  Failure to us means that we feel shamed and unsuccessful. We may fear failure in a business scenario or in our personal relationships. Contributor Dr. Dan Gottlieb talks with Community Advocate Roseann Vanella about all of the positive things failure can not only bring us but also teach us.  When we go through a failure we learn to mature and grow.  Dr. Dan explains how humans are conditioned to hold on to negative experiences more than we hold on to positive experiences.

So many parents try to protect their children from adversity when in reality we should allow them to experience failure so that they may learn resiliency.  Listen and learn how we can embrace these failures and teach our children by leading by example.
